R-Excel safely performs any operation, including Microsoft Excel sheet recovery and never deletes from disk, writes to, or modifies in any way, the original Excel files.
A MS Excel sheet can be recovered by double clicking the selected *.xls file. The file content is displayed in the right tab as an MS Excel sheet (installed MS Excel required) and can be saved by an R-Excel registered version either as an MS Excel file.
